LMAO!!!! I forgot about Quest 64. Remember how that started out as a serious "mature" title. Then the kiddied it up. But you're right, that was a good one.

Now Hexen, I had, but didn't understand it after a while. I got stuck in a hall that had all thses doors and 2 staircases. This was before GameFaqs came out. I just traded to EB.

Pokemon Snap (anyone remember Blockbuster and the stickers?)
Mario Party (whatever one/s I played; that was a long time ago...)
    Super Mario 64

I have a lot of good memories since my dad would play the N64 with my sister and me, but he doesn't play any games now, I tried.

I don't know if anyone else has played this one. I just found it while getting my retro fix on with the kids. We played Space Station Silicon Valley. A brilliant game! I thought I sold this eons ago, and I'm glad I didn't.

    No Mercy
    Mario Kart 64
    Banjo Kazooie
    Mario 64

I'm going to lay down some truth; Goldeneye was NEVER that great a game! Not only has it clearly aged the worst out of pretty much ever game listed on this thread but the whole reason it was so popular in the first place was people were enthralled with the novelty of an FPS on a home console that wasn't totally crippled. Going back and playing it really confirmed this for me, it's really a horrible playing game with horrendous frame rate issues.

BLASPHEMY!!!! So the reason it wasn't a great game was because of the frame rate, or because it is NOW a generic FPS? Granted, trying to play game on the N64 controller would take some re-getting-used to because it uses the C buttons as an analog stick substitute. But it pioneered many things. I still find it fun. Once in a while, me and my 7 year old will death match with paint balls. Truth is in the eye of the beholder. I will not agree with your truth! :noway:

It's not that it's NOW a generic first person shooter but I thought it was comparatively very weak compared to the FPS games being released on the PC at the time.

I know what you mean. I loved PC shooters, I hated the control scheme of them. I'm not a PC Gaming fan. And back in the day when I was running Quake on a 233MHz Pentium with 32 MB of RAM and a 16MB Video card, the stupid serial console style controller from Microsoft (Sidewinder?) never worked. I detest, till this day, keyboard gameing. Unless it's oldschool text adventures. And you also couldn't compare the systems spec wise. That's like saying, the Kia Sportage sucked. I'd rather stick to driving my Lincoln Navigator. :drinker:

Of course it was comparatively week to PC games, but not every one had a PC. It was a major stepping stone for us to have an N64 in fact I think the only reason we had it was because my step dad wanted it for metroid or something and so he bought it but we didnt have a computer that could handle games for quite some time.

It was an Epic game for its time. Sure some of the games listed are still being played but the fact was it turned a lot of people onto to FPS and I think it paved the way for console FPS...
