Dresses and Long Torso

So I am frustrated.....I went shopping today looking for some clothes for when I go back to work. I have gone down a size since ending school. I didn't need much but a few new things. I am 6ft tall, with a really long torso, from my collar bone to belly button is about two and half feet. It has always been hard to find shirts that fit me (I loved when empire cut shirts were in style), but that was really the hardest thing. But now that I am venturing into the size 16 clothes......every dress is too short. We are talking they fall above mid thigh for shorter dresses, and maxi dresses fall about mid calf..... I know it is a NSV but not one I really like right now....
I didn't have this problem when I was a size 28....

I have the same problem. What I've done is bought tunic style shirts. They're made longer because they're supposed to fall below the hips and onto the the leg (on women of average height). On me, they're just long enough to be a normal length shirt. With this new waist I have, I throw on a cute waist belt, and viola! I don't own a lot of nice clothing because of this problem, but that's also why I like mixing and matching the belts so it seems like I have more outfits. Good luck! It's tough enough getting pants that are long enough... but a shirt or dress? Shoot me. I feel ya, sister.0

Old Navy has tall size clothing online. I'm 6' and the dresses (for the most part) hit right at my knees & the shirts are longer.0

One of my MFP friends mentioned this. I had never thought of checking Old Navy out....and there are some really cut dresses. Thank you!0
