Do you ladies know if we need to stay on metformin when we get pregnant?

I was told by my Dr that if in my trying we got pregnant they would want me to stay on it for a little bit, it must help in some way to help prevent miscarrages.0

My doctor told me that I could take it while I was pregnant but it didn't seem like I would have to. I only say that because he had to look up what class it was so it doesn't seem like he was planning on me having to take it.0

My doctor told me I would have to stay on the Metformin as well. She said that it really helps to prevent miscarriage. She didn't say why, though... Good luck!0

With PCOS there is a higher risk of miscarriage and metformin is thought to help reduce that risk.0
