    Uuuugggghhhh!!! I'm up 3 pounds since I started this challenge. I think of how much I could have LOST had I really tried hard, but I kept falling off the wagon. It hasn't helped that I'm moving out of town (the reason for wanting to lose weight right now) and it's been goodbye dinner after goodbye dinner. I'm also living out of a backpack right now, so meals are always whatever I can find.

    I'm fed up and I'm done gaining weight. It's time to nip this in the bud, make healtheir choices at restaurants, and get back on track. I have 4 weeks before I leave town and I want to try to lose 10 pounds. I've been trying out the Dukan diet, which I think will work really well for me during this period of constant restaurant eating.

    Dukan has an "attack" phase of 4-7 days where you eat nothing but protein, not even vegetables (plus oat bran for fiber - makes a nice hot cereal). Then you enter the cruise phase and alternate only protein days with days where you eat protein with unlimited veggies (plus oat bran).
    I've had some false starts on the "attack" phase, because when eating out with friends it's very odd to order protein with nothing else, no vegetables, so I order a salad with a bunless burger, or some kind of chicken salad. I'm not sure I'll ever get fully into the attack phase, but I figure how can vegetables be bad?

    My biggest weakness right now? ICE CREAM. It's hot out and I just want to eat ice cream all the time.

    Alright, back to my hot oat bran cereal breakfast...

    And that was after I increased my calorie goal & ate junk food. Not that I'm proud of that. Just saying you can never figure this whole weight loss thing completly.

    I haven't been logging my food like I should. But I am pleased that just "eyeballing" my portions still yielded some progress.
