Daily Grill

I don't know if any of you are near the Daily Grill restaurant - but I just wanted to sing the praises for a healthy dining out experience. I had not been there in a long time, and in the past I had always ordered a Cobb salad. To my shock - they now print the calories on their menu, and the Cobb salad was over 1,000 calories as was MOST of their salads.

They do however, have an "Under 600 calorie" section and I ordered a Moroccan Grilled chicken for 427 calories. When the food came, I was astonished how much food there was. It came with brown rice and grilled veggies and amazing spiced grilled chicken that stretched from one end of the plate to the other.

I came and google searched to make sure the calorie count was correct. It seemed like way too much food for the calorie budget. All my research turned up that it is indeed correct!

That's good to know! Never been to the Daily Grill but if I am there, I will look forward to the under 600 calorie menu. A lot of places are incorporating a lighter "under X calorie" section to their menu. The reason salads are usually so high in calories is because they add a lot of dressing but if you get it on the side you can control how much you use. That is the way I always do it, dressing on the side.

Thanks for the tip. The Silver Diner menu also has a section of 600cal and under.

I love when the restaurants print the nutrition info.

I found a lot of good stuff on the Silver Diner menu. It was stuff I would order even if I was skinny and didn't care about calories.
