Packing for a Work Weekend

My alma mater does a social service weekend. Basically, we stay in dorms all weekend and paint them, move furniture, clean - whatever physical labor needs to be done. (Think Habitat for Humanity type work.) I'll also be helping with cooking and childcare. I also hope to lead a walking tour of the campus on Friday night and a sunrise workout on Sunday morning, to get my workouts in. (The physical labor on Saturday will take care of that day.) so it's going to be a VERY physical weekend, basically with a slumber party thrown in.
Generally, I'd wear t-shirts or tank tops and workout shorts to do the physical labor in and jammies to sleep in. But the darn social aspect confounds me. Do I do cute sandals and shirts and shorts when we aren't working out? Or will I look too diva for a group like this?

I don't think you'd look like a diva as long as you were in clothing appropriate to do the work. I love matching my T-shirts to my shorts and shoes even if I'm out doing yardwork.0

Me too. Or I mix it up but still make it work with the colors, lol.
Agreed though, I don't think that screams "diva" in any way. It's summer time.0 -
If you're doing a walking tour and plan on it being strenuous enough to count as exercise, I'd wear very comfortable shoes... sneakers or more "utilitarian" sandals. No point getting your feet all blistered up wearing cute shoes, unless you're feet are very used to walking a lot in those shoes.0
