Water weight w/ no period?

I've been on Depo for PCOS for about a year and a half now, so I've stopped having periods. I do still PMS, but not as much. Breast tenderness is about it, but I've noticed I do gain a few pounds at a time once every month. However, because I no longer have periods, I don't know what my TOM is now...lol. My question is...can I actually gain water weight even though I don't have periods?

You can retain water at any time. So, yes. Women with PCOS often have problems with water retention. I certainly do. Watching your sodium levels REALLY helps. Also, trying to match your potassium levels to your sodium levels will make a difference, too. I drink crystal light, which has 5 calories per serving but it has no sodium and does have potassium. It's helped. Coffee also has potassium. So, I drink a cup everyday.
