I am very new and looking for a group. Looking for more chatter though.
My name is Michelle. I am 44 . I think I fit in the middle group of weight loss people. Never got big enough to have to buy plus size clothing but always wore the double digit numbers. I have been in two car accidents (one had me close to death) so I live with pain every day. I spend most of my energy every day just getting though work.
Looking for people to chat with to keep me going. I'm good at giving positive feed back for others too.
Is there anyone out there?

I am new to this site and think I will fit here because I am at least 100 lb overweight. I need to have knee surgery but due to swelling and being overweight the doctor says I am not a good candidate. So here I am trying to get healthy. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I do exercise on a stationary bike. I have had to spinal stenosis surgeries and the last one was a failed surgery. I walk with a cane and sometimes use a walker for long distances. I do take some powerful drugs to keep the pain down from the arthritis and muscle pain. I am a retired elementary teacher and do some subbing and do some summer tutoring. I love being around the kids and my peers. I also like to sew, raise flowers, and try to keep up with my family. My wonderful husband helps me a lot. One the positive I make dinner, did some sewing, and worked on a special project. I hope everyone is having a great day.

I'm probably in considerably less pain than most of you. I have 3 ruptured discs, scaiatica (sp?), PCOS and migraines. I can't go to the gym anymore, due to scaiatica meaning I can't feel leg, which really upset me as I always felt so much better if I'd started the day at the gym.
I'm working quite long hours at the moment, which is tiring!

I recently had surgery and it took ages for them to wake me up, presumably because of my weight. Eep! I'm trying to take it slowly, even though my natural inclination is to hammer it at the gym and cut right back on food. I think I need to be sensible, for once. :)
