It's not surprising at all. Wasn't it Rahm Emanuel who said "Never let a good crisis go to waste" after the BP oil spill?
What I find most disturbing is how the gun-grabbing bleeding-hearts actually believe they can end world violence with the stroke of a pen. Ask one of these anti-gun nuts what would happen if Congress passed a law tomorrow declaring all guns to be illegal. You'll hear silence. All they think about are their grand ideas. There is never any thought given to HOW to implement their ideas or what happens when their ideas don't work.0
