It's been almost a week now...how is everyone doing on this week 1 of the Biggest Loser Summer Slim Down?
I think I'm doing pretty good...at least I'm exercising more and logging everything I eat. I want to get more active, but all in good time. I have the rest of my life to perfect this, right?

I'm in the same boat as you. I am doing well...exercising more, trying to eat better, and stay within my calories. I find myself looking for ways to add a little more activity into my day.0

Considering that Monday, I weighed 10lbs more than I weighed on Friday through a combination of TOM and absolutely horrid eating (no tracking) on the weekend... I will be lucky to stay the same this week.
I REALLY need to get motivated to do more exercise. I walk both ways to work, which is almost 2.5KM each direction and by the time I do that and walk the dog (another 2.5K), I just am not really motivated. I used to be really big into workout videos but I guess I am kind of shy about it now that I live with my boyfriend. My family jokes that I am the exercise dictator when I work out - if anyone so much as talks to me, I am testy and angry, lol. I love working out, actually - just don't appreciate comments, and tend to say meaner things than I mean when I am working out. LOL0 -
I'm up and down like a yo-yo. Don't know what tomorrow will bring.0

I'm right there with you. I have been ok on exercising but I had a date on Tuesday which included some alcohol and a little bit of fried foods for appetizers (didn't eat a whole bunch though). Plus, I've been working 10 hour days the past couple days too so I have been exhausted. Hoping for at least a couple pounds though I have been extremely steady the past couple weeks, as in no movement up or down!0 -
Sometimes family and friends try to be funny thinking it'll ease us and maybe see it as a joke or something that is not that important, doesn't mean they want us to fail, but I think sometimes they don't realize what we have to go through and is difficult for them to see through our eyes. Just don't pay too much attention. If you want to exercise, do it! DVDs are great because you don't need to leave your house and can do it anytime and besides they're muche cheaper than a gym.
I work long hours and have a husband and 2 small daughters, I simply don't have time to go to the gym, but I decided I deserve at least 30min a day just for me and my workout (because it's important to me); my husband at first would smile looking at me, then he started to imitate me (in a funny way) and now he's riding his bike and taking the girls with him!! He didn't mean to discourage me, he was just trying to be funny - and I laughed with him! I can now run for 45min...do my DVD with push-ups and all and he can't even run a block cause he'll get hiperventilated!............do your workout at home if that works for you, maybe you can find sometime alone so your boyfriend is not there staring. Just do whatever you have to do to make this work for YOU! We deserve it!!0
