Injuries

Hi,
I had a nice holiday with the kids and took about 10 days off running. The only running I did was one short run on a beach (in the rain, a typical Irish holiday) not even a mile.
I did my usual run into work when I got back about 7 miles and took it very slowly with light stretches on my calves before I started. I now have achilles pain on both ankles, worse on one ankle? Anybody know how to get over this as quickly as possible?
I've been told by co-workers not to run for up to 2 weeks. The pain is not earth shattering just very uncomfortable and it gets worse the longer a run goes on. I'm going insane not being able to run.
Serious, I might kill somebody if I can't get to run in the next few days. I'm thinking of taking a Neurophen and just running it out.
I don't understand how I was running 5 days some weeks doing longer runs of 15 miles with not a hint of injury and then this hits me from nowhere. It absolutely sucks !!
I'm going off now to break something. Any ideas are welcome.
