I finally went and saw this last night......it was, different. Funny, yes......some parts were VERY funny, I laughed quite hard a few times......other parts were kinda stupid, could have went without the whole Flash Gordon storyline....

There were LOTS of mistakes in the movie, but seeing as it was a fantasy type movie, you can't be to hard on that I guess.....

I loved the reaction from John's parents at the beginning when Ted comes to life, I almost feel out of my seat.....

I reluctantly went to go see this movie with some buddies of mine. Based on the trailer I always figured I would just catch it on HBO or something. That said, I really enjoyed it. It was much funnier than I expected it to be. The whole Thunder Buddies thing had me dying. And I really enjoyed the Flash Gordon obsession, probably because it was such an obscure thing for someone to be obsessed about, I think that fact made it a little bit funnier, honestly I think most of the people in the theatre had no idea what Flash Gordon was.

I thought the creepy dad and son story line was unnecessary and sort of dumb but Giovanni Ribisi was good and the scene where he is dancing in the room alone, I was cracking up.
