Hair styles for a fuller face?

Hey guys,
So this doesn't have anything to do with fitness really, but I am going back to college soon, and I would like a new hairstyle to complement my weight loss! Right now, my hair is looong (down to the middle of my back), and it's a bit of a pain as it tangles terribly after workouts. I also play rugby, so you can just imagine what happens to it then  .
I want a shorter cut, but I don't want it to over-play my natural roundish-square, fuller face. Any tips/suggestions for a cut? For a while I've wanted to just get it all off with a pixie cut, but I've read conflicting articles saying "Yea, great for round faces!" or "No, they're terrible!"
Anyway. Any suggestions are very helpful and appreciated.
