Sleep Challenge: Get 8 hours sleep each night for a month

Options
Go to bed early and get up early. If you stay up late, you will overeat, guaranteed. It doesn’t matter if you are a night person; change into a morning person. When you go to bed early, you don’t think about food all night.

Not getting enough sleep increases levels of the hunger hormone, ghrelin, and decreases levels of satiety hormone, leptin. This leads to overeating and weight gain. Getting enough sleep---between seven and eight hours a night---helps keep these hormones in the correct balance for maintaining a healthy weight.

All you need to do to get started is post your intent to join the challenge and share your experiences helping to motivate each other along the way.

Good luck.
