I HAVE BEEN SO EXCITED ABOUT WANTING TO LIVE A COMPLETELY NATURAL LIFESTYLE THAT I HAVE BEEN SHARING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS... AND THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS HAVE STARTED...

" NATURAL HAIR IS NOT BEAUTIFUL" , "SO U PLAN TO LOOK DRY UP" NEED i GO ON.... YES THEY ARE THAT BAD
ON THE PLUS SIDE... HUBBY IS SUPPORTIVE OF MY DECISION..

THE TRUTH IS I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS HAIR JOURNEY BEFORE I WAS NATURAL FOR A YEAR AND LOVING IT.. THEN WHEN IT CANE CLOSER TO MY WEDDING DAY i WAS CONVINCED TO RELAX MY HAIR AND I GAVE IN (((COVERS FACE)))...

i AM DETERMINED TO MAKE A HOLISTIC CHANGE THIS TIME.... IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT MY HAIR... ITS ABOUT WHAT I PUT INTO MY BODY... I WANT MY DAUGHTER TO GROW UP SEEING HER MOTHER LOVE HERSELF COMPLETELY NATURAL... AND KNOW THAT BEAUTY RADIATES FROM WITHIN BASED ON THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR YOURSELF AND THE CONFIDENCE YOU HAVE IN YOURSELF...

AM I MAKING SENSE???

If you do not have a loose curl a lot of people are going to tell you not to do it. The best thing I could say is to not talk to them about your hair plans.

When I first went natural I only knew of two people in my area that I had ever met who were "natural". People in my area did not do that. Everyone told me that I was going to look ugly...literally. After I did it people started dropping the creamy crack like flies, once they saw what their hair could look like.

Do what you want to do and let others get in line or get behind.

IA, do yourself a favor and don't share your plans with anyone just go ahead and "do you " . There is still a lot of negativity and ignorance surrounding natural hair. I still baffles me that people think naturals don't wear makeup, or do their nails or wear deodorant. You get the drift, if this is something that will be a benefit to your emotional and physical health just go ahead and be natural.

Being natural takes patience and motivation---be gentle on yourself!
What are your hair goals? Who are your hair inspirations?
Do you watch You-Tube tutorials? A lot of sisters with awesome looking healthy waist length natural hair out there
When I let my hair go natural --and wore it out and wild
Asians--with broken English accents---Caucasians, African Americans foreigners Europeans---even little girls were stopping and saying ---

WOW---you have great hair. They wanted to touch and it was not nor will ever bone straight (shudders)

Loving yourself inside and out is something alot of people are not yet ready to do or even know how to do, So they will try to deflate you with the negativity. I understand and have been there. But when I showed them that what they said didn't affect me but made me stronger and even gave me power they started turning to the natural side. In my house myself and my daughter are natural my husband loves it and I have never felt more BEAUTIFUL and RADIANT there are no chemicals seeping in trough my scalp any more and praise the Lord NO MORE CHEMICAL BURNS!!!

Be strong in what you do and use the negative as a positive. You will always have support here as you have surrounded yourself with like minded people.
