Jinx made me sad. :(

I knew I was going to have to buy new clothes for my trip to Dragon Con, and since I don't have near enough geeky t-shirts, I figured that an order from Jinx was...well, in order. I own two Jinx shirts already. My medium shirt is now a sleepshirt and does not get worn outside the house. My XL shirt fits, but is a little snugger around the middle than I like my shirts so I figured I needed to order up a size. According to the size chart, I needed to buy a 3X. That didn't seem right at all to me and my online ordering instinct has never been wrong before, so I ordered two XL shirts and one 2X shirt and waited patiently for them to arrive. I figured I'd probably be happy with the 2X and might have to exchange the XL shirts.
I got the shirts today and boy, was I wrong. The 2X shirt is slightly bigger than the XL, but the only difference between the two sizes once I put them on is that the 2X is approaching skirt length. Both cling rather unattractively to my stomach and back. They really hug the girls too but I'm not complaining about that. The XL is my fault because I already knew better, but the 2X? Come on! Now I'm glad that I didn't buy a 3X because it would probably be hanging out somewhere around my knees while still exposing my muffin top in all of its muffiny glory.
Do people not realize that shirts sized for larger females probably need to be cut differently as well?

Here are links to the shirts if anyone was curious to see what I bought.

This is an issue with Jinx in general. The brand/cut that they use can be problematic for larger sizes. If you want some custom shirts, send me a message. My shop is www.fictionaddictions.com -- We have mostly movie and book related stuff there, but have a lot of other options and can totally do custom orders for a very reasonable price.0

I buy alot of shirts from Jinx and I have the same problem. My Blizzard 2x's are fine...but I recently purchased one for $5 w/ a fairy on the front and that was really snug, plus it was almost see-through.0

does that hold true for men's shirts?
>_>
I'm sorry they fit like that on you, it does suck, but for tall people its actually REALLY hard to get shirts that are long enough - my husband wears a size L shirt but he's 6'2" with a bit of a gut so they tend to be too short and ride up his gut, but a size XL looks ridiculously over large width wise.
So you know - even though they don't fit you they probably make someone else happy :flowerforyou: (although, on ladies shirts I dunno because really, a lady wearing anything bigger than an XL is probably *not* getting taller than say, 6' so I'd think a 2XL would be just like an XL but wider. )0 -

oh yes it sucks. I am 6'3 and I can fit into a 2XL but I tend to still go for 3XL because I need the length or my belly button shows. Unless it's a Big & Tall cut. 2XLT.0 -

I assumed that it would be wider too, not longer. It was confusing, but I'm glad that there are some taller ladies out there who would love that size. I decided to keep the shirts anyway since I'm probably judging myself worse than anyone else would be.0 -
