Hey ladies,
I was thinking it might be a good idea to share some of our favorite super-healthy (yummy/lo-cal) recipes with each other.
Here's a few of mine (all around 300 calories total):
Smoothies:
GREEN SMOOTHIE
1 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk (but I think any milk will work)
1-2 cups mixed tropical fruit (frozen)
1-2 cups spinach
ice if needed
blend until smooth (delish!!!)
FRUITY SMOOTHIE
1 cup water (usually just plain ol' water, but sometimes I use coconut water)
approx 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries
~1/4 cup frozen peaches
~1/4 cup frozen pineapple
1 frozen banana
ice if needed
blend until smooth (yummy!!)
Healthy and fast "snack" ideas (could also be a meal)
1 package of Cascadian Farms frozen cooked squash, microwaved for 5 minutes. Stir in salt and pepper to taste. You could indulge and put some butter or oil on top. I also like to put scrambled eggs on top of mine.
1 package chopped frozen broccoli, microwaved for 5 minutes, splash on some hot sauce, add a cup of fat free cottage cheese and more hot sauce (could totally be done without the hot sauce)
