My mid-life crisis :-)

I have been overweight for so long I don't remember being slim/fit.
18 months ago I started to lose weight but about 6 months ago I started to slip back into my old ways.

I then realised I am 40 next year and if i don't get fit soon, I never will!!!
I heard about a walk for charity on Heart.fm radio and thought wow, that's what I want to do!
So I signed up for it, before I realised how big of a challenge it is lol.

I am now in the gym getting fit for my 10 day trek across the Great Wall of China in March 2013.
I really hate the stepper!! :-)

I also need to get out and about in more hilly places to practice hill walking for real rather than on the treadmill. I also get to walk the dog.
If anyone has done a trek like this before, any hints or suggestions are very welcome!
