Frozen veggies

Hello, Here at our Kroger they have awesome sales on raw ,already cut and cleaned vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, spinach etc.in the produce department. when i see these bags of goodies on the clearance, I just buy them ,bring them home and pop the whole bag right in the freezer as is!!! It really saves our family of 6 money and the bags are usually bigger than the ones you buy in the frozen foods isle. We are also able to raise a big garden and I also do a lot of canning, especially chicken stock and beef stock. This is also a great money saver for us.

That's great, the only thing I would do different is to maybe blanch the veggies before freezing and then freezing them in meal size packets.0

Why do you do with frozen spinach? I've cooked it and eaten it raw in salads and sandwiches but never from frozen.0

Frozen spinach... heat it up and it's the same as cooked. Also easy to use in a spinach dip, which we shouldn't be eating because it's not great for the waistline!0
