Hello, again!!!
Oh, Jaaaaa-neeeeeey, where arrrrrrre you???
Brunagota, happy to hear that you, too, are losing inches! Way to go, girl! Don't feel bad that you didn't make all yours in the last set. You'll get there.
Yesterday was weird, and I felt pooped. I am beginning to suspect that I have an electrolyte balance issue. I drink 10 cups of water per day and I'm in the bathroom constantly. But as soon as I get active, I get extremely thirsty, to an almost panicky level. And exhaustion comes with the thirst. I read up on it last night, and I'm trying adding a LITTLE sea salt to my water. We'll see.
On top of not feeling great, and trying to drink enough water to be able to do my pushups in comfort, Wayne came home early, and went to bed late. So I never got to do pushups on Friday. Which put my whole schedule off.
After debating, I decided to just skip Wk 4, Day 3. And went on to the exhaustion test. Hopefully I won't end up regretting it.
When I hit 30, I felt like I had a bunch more in me, but I felt like I needed a break to get a sip of water.
I kept going, but was getting nervous about thirst. And, dumbly me, I lost count! I'm know I hit 35. I think I hit 38. But I'm going to count it as 35, which keeps me on level 1.
58 years old.
Initial Exhaustion test: 6 standard pushups
Week 1: Exceeded the max each day! (by 2, 2, 3) Level 2
Week 2: Struggled. Did twice, missed a few days. Exceeded max by 3, 4, 5 modified, 1 standard. Level 2.
Week 2 end: Exhaustion test: 20.
Week 3: Dropped down to Level 1 after trying Wk 2, Day 1, Level 3. Under by 4, over by 3, 5.
Week 4: Level 1. Over by 4, 2. Skipped Day 3.
Week 4 end: Exhaustion test: 35
Next: Level 1, Week 5, Day 1! Five sets ... after which it moves to EIGHT SETS!
Ok, as long as I can drink between sets!
And I just peeked ahead ... another exhaustion test after Week 5, too!
I'm in this to the end. Even if I have to repeat Week 5 and/or Week 6.
I'm glad you, too, are sticking with it, Brunagota!0 -
I am way, way, way behind (again!)
Sometimes life just gets in the way!
I'm doing week 3, day 1 - DONE!
ugh!

Kelsley, it is nice to have you back!
It appears that 100% of our group are behind. Brunagota and I are the only two who have been regularly posting, and we both repeated a week. It is better to take your time and get to the end, than not complete it. If you can stick with their schedule, though, it will probably be to your advantage.
It takes me between 5 and 10 minutes per day, three days a week. Not too bad of a commitment, and I'm seeing progress ... Originally I could do 6, now I can do 36! My arms are stronger, and have better definition. (And are 1.25 inches smaller!) It's worth making the effort to make it a priority.
And keep telling us you are with us! Good luck!0
