So,just how good is the idea of personal training?

Hi Girls ,

Hope everyone is doing great..I weighed in last week..no pounds lost but I lost a couple of inches over my abs and lower body which is great and I also feel that I have no bloating as I earlier had.So,I have decided to give myself more time and keep working at it. I used to work out with a Personal Trainer earlier and thought she would be a good source of guidance.So I thought of booking in a session where she could give me a sample wokout that I can stick to apart from cardio for a month and then change it over. See what this lady had to say:

You are not alone. I have clients that came back after thinking that they
can do it on their own only to put on weight or plateau.
It's because their training intensity is same. What your body I used to.

Just remember, there is no such thing as spot reduction.

That means, you can't expect your legs to be trim just from doing leg exercises. It's a combination of many things such as diet, cardio, strength training, compound exercises.

And one cannot achieve by just following same program for a one day session

P.S. I feel so demotivated by this reply. What do you think I shoud do?
I did not have any great success when I took her sessions either :(
