First week weight loss

Well first posting on community but need some advice
Just curious if this level of loss is normal, i have lost 9lb in my first week which is incredible but obviously not sustainable. Having been through the whole WW program and losing that in 3 months i thought i would make a change to something i felt in control of.
Anyone having similar experiences ??

I lost just under 6lb my first week, then half a pound the second!......think of it as a good start on your journey0

I lost 6lbs in my first week and now I am loosing between 3lbs-1lbs a week. Well done, great start0

Thanks for the feedback i lost 3lb the second week so am happy. Have lost more in two weeks than i did in the previous 10 weeks on ww which offered no support what so ever to me as a man because it was not in their guideline and training !!0
