One week to go, how's everyone doing?

I've been having a hard time staying on track this go round. I've been lazy, distracted and even sick so aren't exacly where I wanted to be by now. I've gotten back on track, had a great loss this week to bring me to 6.4 so far. Not sure if I'll make it to 10 since 3.6 is a lot to lose but I will try hard for it and that is what counts,

Here's hoping we all have a successful week and put our best foot forward!

I have also been having a hard time staying on track this week. Only got to the gym 4 days instead of 6 and couldn't push myself as hard as I have in the past. Plus I ate more calories this week than in the past. I've been battling some sinus problems and I know that contributed but it's no excuse, I slacked. I wish I could say I will push myself this week....but I'm on vacation and it's my boyfriend's birthday so I know that exercise and diet will be tough again.
Good news is I did manage to lose at .2 lbs but considering I was expecting a gain I can't complain :)
Good luck to us all in the last week.......for round 2.....maybe another round will be in order!

Another round sounds good to me too Sheila. I'll be at my half way point in about 5 lbs and am very excited to get there.

I like to set reasonable goals and 10lbs in 6 weeks is pretty reasonable. I just wasn't to consistent this go around :(

Well I'm proud to say that I have now lost 10.5lbs since this round started, been eating more junk food in the last two weeks so the going has been slower, but I've been sick, and aparantly that attracts me to junk food, no excuse, but luckily for me my appetite hasn't been great so have managed to pretty well stay under my calorie goals, whic I am also proud of. Would love to do this again, as I find it a great motivator. Good luck to all with the last week coming up

I am down 17 since we started the original challenge! I was feeling so discouraged when I started this challenge, I was worried my plateau might be permanent. THANKS for giving me the inspiration to keep going, Janet
  • Have only lost 5 lbs since the start of the original challenge and that is going up and down depending on TOM. I've been watching food and exercise and not much difference. Still trying though and hope Fall will be better to me. :)

Congrats to everyone with a loss this past week.....your results are very motivating!!

For myself, I stayed on track calorie wise and I hit the gym 5 days which all resulted in.......a small loss of 0.6 lbs but a loss is a loss and I will take it. After losing 12 lbs in the original challenge, things certainly slowed / plateaued / stopped (insert any 4 letter word here!!) for the first few weeks. In the second challenge I am now down 4.6 lbs for a total of 16.6 lbs combined. I am one week away from vacation and the cruise that originally started me on the lifestyle change 3 months ago (25 lbs lost in total).

Best of luck to all this week and let's finish strong!!

    Hi all,

I have been struggling. I am back from vacation and up. I need to focus on myself. Too often I take care of everyone in the family except me. This week I am going to focus on making time for myself, which means: planning meals, exercise, and some relaxation time. Too much stress is not helping my weight loss goals.

I had been struggling with all the food that people would bring to my cottage and then went on vacation and gained again.

Am hoping to be back on track this week and get to where i was by the time Labour Day rolls around.

Keep at it everyone. Enjoy your vacations. Would love to do a cruise but my husband isn't too interested. Maybe when we retire.

I've hit my first plateau since the first weeks of August, still at 154 lbs :( Ive been feeling discouraged and lazy lately, hopefully when school starts, and my soccer seasons begins, I'll get things back in order and start losing again. I'm about 20-25lbs away from my goal :)

i lost a lot of weight before these challenges started and then i was almost there to the 10 pounds loss after the first challenge but this past go around is up and down with my weight but not sure if its because the bad food or cause using more weights in the gym. but these challenges arent all about the weight loss but the friends we have found and feeling better about ourselfs.

First congrats to those who are doing so well. Happy for everyone, and it is motivating for me to see all of your successes.

I have had some problems with consistency over the last few weeks and it showed on the scale. Stayed on track for the most part, but have had some days where I ate more than I should have and didn't worked out. I felt kind of bad about it, but after I thought about it, I think for me it might be important to have a few "rest days" about every 3-4 weeks. I do that with running, so maybe I need to do that with this too. That doesn't mean that I go crazy and eat everything, more just eating at maintenance and then going back to where I need to be to lose. I'm back on losing track again, so hopefully the final weigh in will be a good one for me!

I try to do that once a week I have what I call a treat day, I don't go nuts but I make sure I have something nice, something I've beenw anting all week, and it helps, and doesn't seem to affect my weight loss

I kind of do that on Friday. It is the one night of the week I refuse to cook and so we go out to eat! I had been doing a long run/workout on Saturday so I figured I needed a little extra calories the night before anyway. And it does help to have a treat every once in awhile.

At the beginning it was harder to keep things under control - I had a lot of binge-style days, which was not good at all. It's been better over the last week, though. I'm trying to stay motivated and not kill things by eating too much at night...

Congrats to everyone that participated in this challenge, willingness is everything to me.

I'm with you on the consistency thing LMC. One week I'm psyched and bustin' my butt, the next I'm just kinda here. It has definitely shown on the scale throughout this challenge. I've been fortunate enough to have lost 7lbs but would like to get my house back in order. I hope we can set up another round.

What do you say Bumblepop, would you update the spreadsheet for another 6 weeks?
