I'm in Springdale and have been mainly using the JB Hunt Park. It has a paved walking/jogging area around the entire park with a couple nice small hills in the mix. The main path is 1.5 miles long, and is marked every .25 miles which is nice. There is a spoke that goes around Springdale Lake that adds an additional mile to the course. They have recently started to install lights along the path, which should come in handy as the days get shorter.
Guess my question is, anyone else utilizing the parks in NWA? Have a favorite? Ones to stay clear of? I've been thinking about trying to check out a few of the others on weekends.

Living here in Geezerville...oops..I mean Bella Vista, there are a lot of great parks n paths. But, we have a dog and love the dog park in Bentonville. We also frequent Lake Fayetteville as well. Haven't had any trouble. We even will go to downtown Rogers at Frisco Station and walk there all around the area. Both of are photographers, so cams and backpacks in tow. Wilson Park in F'ville makes for a nice walk as well as Lake Atalanta and the U/A campus. Variety is the key for us and we don't mind driving. Hope this helps. And welcome! You probably already knew all this :-)0

I walk quite often on the paths at Memorial Park/Orchard Park in Bentonville.
Once in a while I take lunch at a park and will walk around Tower Park or Veteran's Park in Rogers.0 -
I've been all over campus in the past, but not really a park person until recently. I've gone to JB Hunt so much lately that I can pick out most of the regulars :} I'll look into some of your suggestions, thanks.0

My personal favorite is Lake Wilson ( tho I try to keep it secret ) for diverse terrain & solitude. The city of Fayetteville has a list of all it's parks & we have decided to bike/hike/walk them all over the next few weeks. We got a copy at the farmers market. Hobbs receration area is also nice if you don't mind the drive.0

Yay! I found an NWA group! I live in Bella Vista and I walk around the Veteran's trail, my local golf course, around our neighborhood too. I work in Springdale and have not found it condusive to walking with a feeling safety during lunch.0
