Why Mitt Romney is Unlikable!
A lot is being said in the media about Mitt Romney not being "likable" or that he doesn't "relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So after much research, we have come up with a Top Ten List to explain this "unlikability."
Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney:
1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura. Looks like every central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.
2. Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)
4. Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary.
5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School ...and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.
6. Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America ?
7. Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS!
8. Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America 's scorn.
9. Oh yes...he's a MORMON. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.
10. And one more point...pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. I guess that's because he made that money HIMSELF...as opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad. Apparently, he didn't understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money made you unrelatable to Americans.
My goodness, it's a strange world, isn't it?

I agree on Romney being a liberal. He has to lean more to the right during the campaign, but his voting record proves he is not a conservative, and it bothers me that the GOP couldn't have come up with a better candidate.

I do think it's laughable that the only thing Democrats have to slander this guy with is that he's earned a lot of money. You know you have lost the argument when you have to resort to a tactic like "Someone told me he didn't pay taxes for 10 years. If that's not true, why won't he release his tax returns and prove it to us?"

It is unfathomable to me that in this country, we have now reached a point where you are selfish if you EARN a lot of money, but you are noble if you live on public assistance.

I don't hate Romney. And I would never in a million years vote for Obama. But Romney is not conservative. That's pretty obvious.

I don't necessarily want someone who is far right wing. I want someone who believes in limited government. Many far right-wingers don't.

So let me first state I am an independant then let me give you my point of view for why I do not like Mitt Romney.

    1. He flip flops and refuses to stick to his guns. Romney is the grandfather of Obamacare cut and dry, as a MA resident I can say this for sure, I thought it was a great idea then and still think it's one now but because it does not line up with the GOP agenda he has distanced himself from it, if anything he should embrace it and use it as proof that he can reach across the aisle to make tough calls and work together while doing it.

    2. People are so up in arms about our Olympians wearing beret's and none American made uniforms, Romney was the first to outsource costumes to China when he was in charge of the Olympics

    3. Romney has a summer house on the lake in NH, for a while Romeny would send his secret service out to force residents fishing to leave certain parts of the lake he claimed were his, Romney does not own any part of the lake and later lost this battle, just showing he's a ****. I could understand if people were gawking but that wasn't the case

3.When govenor of MA Romney tried to close many of the colleges and consolidate them while increasing tuition fees, so bigger less personnal classes for more money.

    4. Romney does not even mention being a one term govenor, why's that? When he left office he didn't run for re-election because under his leadership MA was 47th in job creation and he he had plunged us into massive debt. His approval rating was so low a can of tuna could have beat him if he tried to run again

    5. Romney has no plan of action. Seriousy, listen to this guy, most of his plans involve him saying "I will work with congress and see what we can do". That's not a plan, that's a cop out that no doubt his handlers have pushed on him after seeing him fall face first none stop for the first few months every time he opened his mouth.

    6. Romney talks about all the things he will repeal on day one yet has no real plans to replace with something better, this isn't a plan, this is pandering to the GOP and tea party to make them happy.

Notice I didn't mention Bain or Religion? no need, he was a horrible govenor which he kinda proves by not even trying to show what sort of track record he had in New England which in itself is a huge resume red flag, and last I checked it was separation of church and state, I don't care what his religion is. Romney straight failed with one state, I'm not giving him 49 more and playing the odds

This. The candidates the GOP has nominated the last two elections have forced me to not vote conservative. Typically I am libertarian by value but will vote conservative over liberal. I would call myself a Republican if anyone associated with that party even had true Republican values anymore.

I like you. This is the second time I find myself nodding in agreement.
  • I couldn't agree more!!
My husband and I were watching Glen Beck, and he had a whole show about interviewing people/families that have been personally touched by Mitt Romney, by his generosity. He may not have been my first choice, but despite what the main stream media says, he seems to be a really good, honest, caring man, and I am more than happy to pull the lever for him! :)
  • Very well said, and so true!!
