Some pudgy before & after pix of Pudge

Wow, took me a moment to figure out how to post images..

Anyway, I wanted to share some OLD progress pictures, and say that I know how hard it is to lose weight. Having a history of ED, I have endured the rollercoaster of major weight loss and major weight gain. These pictures are of me at my heaviest of 163 pounds, and then at 130-135 pounds. Since then, I tend to mostly linger around the 130 marker but I do fluctuate from time to time, being anywhere from 125 pounds to 135 pounds. If I complete this challenge, I will be 110 pounds and my ultimate goal weight is 100lbs - that's damn close! So let's do this!!!

Wow, our stats are so very similar! I'm 4'11" and at heaviest, I was also exactly 163 lbs! Two years ago, I was able to get down to 138 lbs. just by following a controlled carb meal plan prescribed by my nutritionist, but have since gained back some weight and am now at 151.2 lbs (as of this morning). My ultimate goal weight is 110 lbs. I simply just want to move out of the "obese" catagory (per bmi) and be at a healthy, normal weight for height and frame.

In June, I was at 157 lbs. and started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout -- with that I was able to get down to 147 lbs. (that's 10 lbs. in just 1 month) doing the workout and watching what I eat, but then my family and I went on a 2-week vacation and I gained back to 153 lbs. Since coming back from my vacation, I re-started the Shred, but have not been as dedicated as before (I've skipped too many days whereas in the first cycle I did the Shred every single day)..thus the reason why I have only lost 2 lbs. since re-starting the Shred on 7/27.

Anyway, sorry for all the details. I just wanted to share since we have such similar stats. Thanks for starting this challenge. Btw, I'm 26 turning 27 next month, too. Wow, can't believe how many similarities we have.
  • Wow! Yes, we do share a lot in common! Thanks for sharing your story, as well.

The road feels like a long one but it'll totally be worth it, once we achieve our end goal. A day at a time! And which support and motivation from such a great group - I have no doubt that we all will be able to make fantastic progress.
