It's been great seeing dcraton's group growing! I was wondering if anyone would want to start meeting on sat. or sunday for a group walk/hike/bike? Could change it up from week to week. ALso feel free to add me as a friend. Support seems to really motivate!

Great idea. I have mobility issues, but I'm in. Very cool!

I'm not real familiar with "geezerville" but I understand it has some nice paths. Also Lake Fayetteville has paved walk/bike paths with a bench or two and light inclines. I'm game for just about anything that gets me moving!

Hey, if it's OK with you...love to bring superwife. We are partnering on this together and she is a blast and so positive. Yup, there are lots of trails up here, but we don't mind driving at all to a central location that is best for all. I can still workout wherever. The main thing is to meet and GIT R DONE! Sorry, I digressed....again, great idea.

My Sunday is free, anyone up for a walk?
At one point, I had a plan to walk on every trail/path in Bentonville and Rogers. I seem to have lost sight of that goal...

    Sunday
Partly cloudy in the morning, then clear with a chance of rain. High of 84F. Winds less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 20%.

I just googled Lake Atlanta. It has a 2mi walking path (w/ workout stations for those so inclined) I haven't been there in about 20 yrs but would love to check it out. Sunday is good for me so let's set a time, bring superwife & anyone else & lets get moving!

Sounds cool. Will check with her. This is her first week back to school (K teacher) and a good walk with new friends might just be that thing. Thanks for including her. She is on MFP through me. She has so much computer work now with being a teacher, the last thing she wants is to be in front of a computer at home. Part of my job includes professional photography...might bring a cam if you don't mind. No worries, I will not post or email any pics without your permissions. I can't anyway...against the law and code of ethics. But, I can send some to each of you or anyone else that joins us.

Shows how much I know.... I thought the only "trail" at Lake Atalanta was the drive around the lake itself (I see lots of people that walk around it)

Never knew there was one with workout stations! Where is it? It's not the one that starts up top and goes down the hill is it?

Well I called the parks & rec for more info. According to the "less than enthusiastic" person I talked to there is indeed a walking trail. Partial paved & the rest is a dirt path. Where to park? Anywhere you want to... lmao ANYWAY I'm always up for adventure so let's pick a time & go for it.

Bofus take Sunday mornings for family time as her cool mom lives across the street. The weather forecast for Sunday is only a high of 82 and no rain. Afternoon OK? If not, we can be as flexible as needed. There is a great parking area behind the dam near a stream. We will be in our beat up company 2005 white Chrysler minivan. Check my profile pics to see wife and me and each others. I will be glad to bring a cooler full of iced down bottled water.

    Any other thoughts?

    Sounds fun!

I won't be out of church until 12, so afternoon works for me too. With a high in the lower 80's and most of that area being shady anyway, it's gonna be a great day for a walk any time of the day! I might have to load up my fishing pole too and sit and be a bum after our walk :)

All sounds good. Mr Moderator I suggest you pick a time & perhaps post it as a new topic incase others might not be following this thread & want to join us. (a fishing pole might also go with me)

Will bring pole! And post topic. How is 3:00pm? Gives everyone time for church and lunch?
