This is me on my 15th birthday, in 1987, wearing floral print jeans.

Now, 25 years later, I am completely drawn to these jeans at Kohls.

I have a history of having the attention span of a kitten and the fashion sense of a teenager. I'm trying to stop. But I love those jeans.

Would they look ridiculous? Will they be yet another item that I'll wear once or twice and then feel like they're too costumey?

............*dies* That first pic is epic.

You could pull off the jeans if you balance it with very, very basic white on top and maybe a big ... Queen Elizabeth hat!

In all seriousness, probably yeah.

I saw those the other day at Kohl's and I'm oddly drawn to them too.

Honestly, they're not my style. However, if I saw somebody wearing them with a solid color top, I wouldn't be visually offended by it.

Not my cup o' tea, but I could see you wearing them for sure. You've got lots of spunk.

I really love these, but sadly, nobody makes hot pink maternity pants...

I did not see them at Kohl's the other day, but from the photo...I, too, am drawn to them.

I definitely think with a plain white top, or even a pink top would look good with them. I unfortunately do think they won't last long as far as "trends" go...though, the pop-colored jeans thing is lasting a lot longer than I originally predicted! Which I'm glad for, since I have some hot pink capris.

I'm going to hold off on them. I really like them, but I remember the old saying, "If you wore the trend the first time..."

Plus, I'm a work from home artist, web publisher and housewife. We go out at most once a week. I don't have many opportunities to dress up, and even though I think they'd look great with a black cami and my maroon or grey blazer, with my knee high black boots... I wouldn't get enough opportunity to wear them. A floral print top? I can wear that anywhere. I'm not going to wear those jeans to walk the dog along the creek.

Unless they get marked down to a price I can't refuse.

I also wore them in the 80s and I think they have a very limited shelf life in terms of how long they will be in style. Make sure that whatever you wear with them will need to be uber "paired down" so that you don't look like a walking floral arrangement.

I am jonesing for some lace or animal print ones. I would get a pair with slightly subtler colors so you can wear them longer!

I tried on that pair of floral jeans. Meh. They didn't do anything for me. I did get another pair of print jeans, though, because at $4.80 and an extra 20% off coupon, I could NOT resist.

I was out shopping for my great-niece for her 1st birthday this weekend. I ended up getting her a 3 piece outfit with a leopard print fleece jacket.

And the jeans I got for myself?

    :blushing:

I didn't realize until I got in the checkout line that I'm trying to turn her into a mini-me!

Haha! You should wear that to her birthday party, too! See if anyone catches it.

I think we all tend to buy a bit of what we like, and what we think the person receiving the gift will like.

I did, but they didn't open the gifts while we were there. Birthday girl needed a nap.

I finally bought those jeans. They were marked down to about $13, and I had a 15% off coupon, and they were just the right amount to boost my purchase up enough to qualify for $10 in Kohls Cash, so they were practically free!

They are not my style but if well done, it can be pulled off

My bestie has the cutest pair of Alice + Olivia floral jeans. She is super skinny and looks great in them. I would feel ridiculous because I gain all my weight in my thighs and hips.

I say if you like them and feel confident in them go for it!!!

Finally got a pic of me in them. They make me happy. I feel a little ridiculous, because head to toe, that's something I would have worn in high school, and with it, I wore my black leather biker jacket that's FROM high school, but... I'm ok with looking ridiculous.

While I'm at it... those leopard print jeans.

  • Hi,

I think you look great!! I am about the same age and found this post because I was searching 'am I too old for leopard pants' and this came up! You have inspired me to make the purchase!!

I've given in to my love of the floral print a few more times since then.

Plus two pairs of plaid jeans.

I'm regressing beyond dressing like a teenager. I'm going back to toddler.
