Has anyone tried kinesio tape?

My friend recommended kinesio tape to me. You might have seen athletes at the olympics wearing brightly coloured tape. It's used to support joints without limiting movement (like a tubeygrip would). It seems to have helped the pain in my knee and back.

I'm not trying to promote that brand in particular - I've found assorted alternatives that are cheaper. They say on the official website that you need to go on a course to apply the tape, but that seems a bit OTT. You can find youtube videos and such. YOu may need someone to put it on on your back or if you have limited movement.

You can buy strips pre-cut if you have trouble with your hands.

I just happened to get some Kinseo tape yesterday. I watched several YouTube videos regarding application of the tape. I think there would be a lot of taping that you would need someone else to do for you. That being said I started with a pretty simple taping last night for a neuroma on my foot. Wow, this stuff is light, takes up no additional room in your shoe, sticks tight, and for whatever reason the foot feels better today. Just walked about 5 miles and the foot didn't swell. Coincidence? Maybe.

I'll revise my previous statement to---my foot did not swell AS MUCH.
