Howdy all!
I wanted to brief y'all instead of just posting here and there.
I'm prior military, diagnosed with major depression while in the service...also sustained a back injury, but was honorably discharge in 2000.
Since being discharge, have been diagnosed with a plethora of issues. I have a psychiatrist and psychologist at the VA.
I have been a "guinea pig" since my last two years in the military, but am currently on a "stable" mixture of meds.
My weight has always yo-yo'd as I've taken care of myself and neglected myself. One doughnut leads to three or four. Mashed potatoes, spaghetti with meat sauce is heaven, and I could go on and on. I reckon the big thing is I totally suck at portion control...it's something I'm working on.
Anyhoo, I've been on a bunch of different meds, had a bunch of different results, some of it I can actually remember...so if anyone wants to know what my experience has been, feel free to ask - as my life and mental health is an open book.
Oh, and I use humor (even bad and/or sarcastic humor as needed) to cope
