After I finished my registry I was wondering from people who have had kids or have had their showers if most people bought from the registry or just bought whatever. I'm really hoping people follow the registry, there is a lot on there I need and want. I am also going to put in my invitations no clothes because my mom got three huge totes of 0-9 months clothes including a ton of sleepers, so I doubt I will even use all those, depending on his size and how fast he grows. Thanks ladies!

Most people have been buying from my registry (except by grandma). Some who went off the registry still bought one item from it to go along. Of course I have a sister in law who thinks registrys are begging and buys what she feels like. Unfortunately you may no get everything and if you do good for you.0

I got most of the things on my registry. I had a huge baby shower, I didn't even know most of the people because I had just moved in the state. My in-laws threw it for me. A few people got things that weren't on the registry, I was able to return them and get the exact thing I wanted. You should even add the big things on the registry, you'll get things you least expected to get from it. I got the car seat I wanted, playpen, swing, highchair, play saucer, bouncer, bottles, even the hamper. lol. And we received lots of gift cards and cash.0

Word to the wise...... Ask for whatever you want. Be grateful for whatever you are given. Baby showers are a celebration for the expectant parents, not a gift grab. Focus on having a good time with friends and family. Don't depend on others buying you what you need/want.0

I did not put any clothes on my registry bc I had been given hand me down clothes from 0-12 mos and did not any. more. clothes. I got tons of clothes. I also got a lot off my registry so I was thankful but I ended up taking back most of the clothes and exchanging them for other items. Good luck.0

Thanks guys. I will be grateful for whatever I get and don't expect anything. I'm just worried about people getting things I don't need, rather than what I need. My grandma won't follow the registry either...lol. I put several things on there, but only have about 50 items total. I'm just excited to get everyone together...and of course see what I get
