I have a friend visiting for a week who has colitis. Any suggestions on kind of foods I should be stocking in and cooking? Preferably compatible with me eating healthily at the same time.

He is also diabetic, just to make things a bit more complex.

This is the diet I follow, though a lot of folks with Crohn's/Colitis are also lactose intolerant.

And eating healthy and IBD seem to be diametrically opposed as vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts and whole grain are all bad for a lot of IBD patients. For me, I eat a heavy amount of poultry.

My advice would be to ask if he has any specific diet requirements, especially as there is the diabetes issue as well.
I don't have any problems with food as long as I'm not having a flare up, people vary :-)
