Week 6 - Day 3 (Aug. 18) (A day or two late???) The date system is confusing me!!! But I'm an airhead, anyway …
Brunagota: I hope your break isn't too bad, and isn't hurting. I'm glad that all you did was break your foot, and not hit your head. (Presuming!)
I'm very disappointed in myself today.
58 years old.
Initial Exhaustion test: 6 standard pushups
Week 1: Exceeded the max each day! (by 2, 2, 3) Level 2
Week 2: Struggled. Did twice, missed a few days. Exceeded max by 3, 4, 5 modified, 1 standard. Level 2.
Week 2 end: Exhaustion test: 20.
Week 3: Dropped down to Level 1 after trying Wk 2, Day 1, Level 3. Under by 4, over by 3, 5.
Week 4: Level 1. Over by 4, 2. Skipped Day 3.
Week 4 end: Exhaustion test: 35
Week 5, Level one:
Day 1: Called for 16, 18, 13, 13, 20. Did routine, but Max was 23 (Over by 3!)
Today: Week 5, Day 2: Called for 10, 10, 13, 13, 10, 10, 9, 25. Did routine except was unable to complete the last set; I only did 17. EIGHT short of goal. AND I needed to extend the rest periods between sets several times.
I'm going to give it some thought tomorrow, and see what I will do on Monday.
Should I go back to Week 5, Day 1 on Monday (which makes a neat clean schedule)? Or should I just repeat Week 5 Day 2?
Anyone want to vote?
I've been really dragging for the past week or so. And Wednesday I started getting ready for a garage sale. And then Thursday worked hard on getting things set up. And then I ate poorly on Thursday's Girls' Night Out. Friday all day was garage sale prep. Today was up 2-3 hours earlier than normal to run the garage sale. It continues tomorrow, but for a shorter day. Then Sunday/Monday/Tuesday I need to pack up and get rid of all the leftovers, so I can return the garage to my husband, who is NOT happy that he lost it, even for a few days.
OH! As I read all this, I can see why I'm dragging. Certainly affected my performance. I'm leaning towards starting week 5 all over again, but would love to hear if anyone disagrees!

hey Bonnie
My foot doesn't hurt anymore cause I have put in a cast, and no I didn't hurt my head. thanks for asking!
I just did my day 3, a day late as well...
about your week 5, I think it was only one day and maybe you should try week 6, sometimes we just have a bad day. But you need to know what your body is telling you. it you feel that your arm are sore or something that is showing you that your body cant take it than try week 5 again.
I repeated week 3 cause of that and it was good cause when I finaly went to week 4 I knew I was ready and enjoy it more.
plus we are doing column 1 so even when we finish week 6 I still think it wont be good enough to do the 100, so my plane is to get to week 6 and do column 1 one week and column 2 the other week and finally column 3 and than taking the 100 test. anyway my point is that it doesn't metter how long it takes for you to finish the program as long as you finish it! and maybe doing week 5 again will make you strong enough to go to column 2 on week 6 so you progressing anyway
hoped it helped!
So today was 13 13 15 15 12 12 10 30
and I did 13 13 15 15 12 12 10 32
see you all monday ! Keep it up!0 -
I did this yesterday while waiting for my grandmom to show up at her house. I was surprising her. I did everything but the last 50 pushups.
13;13;17;17;16;16;14;14 120 pushups. They walked in and could not finish the rest for that session. Going to redo today at lunch.0 -
Hello out there!
I am still with you all, I am just way behind!
Bonnie, thank you so much for your words of encouragement!!!
I am embarrased at how far behind I am but I am committed to getting through this.
I will be starting on Week 4 (yes, Week 4! LOL!)
You are all doing FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I will try to catch up!!!
I may to an exhaustion test, see how I do and skip to week 5 to try to catch up! Will see!
Good job, everyone!!!!   :happy:0 -
Hi, Kelsley,
I'm glad to hear that you are still with us!!!
I wouldn't worry about where you are in this. I think it's important to follow the plan, and do the full program. The progression seems to make sense, and, if you try to rush it, you might get discouraged. Just like weight loss, slow and steady wins the race!
Also, we have all gone off for one reason or another. I've had days when I've struggled and had to repeat days and weeks. I've missed a few days, which have set me back. Tomorrow I will be restarting week 5, so you aren't too far behind me, and I fully expect that I will still have days, and maybe weeks, to repeat. And we had someone else just join our group at the beginning.
Just so you don't have us bouncing all over the place to read your comments, you might want to post on the most recent date. That way we won't miss what you have to say!
Good luck!
