Use of X-Bar R Charts

I have found that the X-Bar R chart works great for tracking weekly weight variation and net caloric intake. Typically, you are only supposed to weigh once a week due to the variation in your weight, I have found weighing every morning and inputting the numbers into ans X-Bar R chart gives with the sample size one week's worth of weight measurements allows you to better understand your body's metabolic function. I suspect there is more to daily weight variation going on than common cause variation.
