I hope you feel better soon.

My youngest son and I went to see an Elvis impersonator at an old restored theater.....it was fun. I am so glad that my youngest is willing to try different things.

Pretty fun! Went up north Thursday-Saturday and ended up getting really lucky with the weather! We stayed at a little motel that called itself a "bed and breakfast". But it was 2 blocks from the beach and one block from downtown... So I can't complain!
I don't think it's possible for my skin to get any darker, though.
Sunday I spent cleaning, and working on papers. End of semester=crunch time.

    I hope you feel better!

My son's 5th grade team* won their tournament, going 4-0 and pretty much dominating everyone, including a couple of the better teams in the country.

    /brag

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning with a pinched nerve in my back and am in serious pain... Can't move my neck. Perhaps because of the 5 hour ride back from the tournament on the team bus Sunday. Oh well, getting old I suppose. Need to find someone here who can give a great massage.

*He's actually in the 4th grade, but was born at the end of the year, so he has to compete with mainly 5th graders (they do it by year of birth in the Czech Rep). Which means he's almost always one of the youngest on the ice. But he's still one of the best, I'm very proud to say. He was their leading scorer last year, and they finished 2nd in the country. Ok, I'll stop now... :-)

Proud papa congrats to your son. I hope your back/neck feels better soon. Getting old sucks.

I'm moving to Michigan for school and I had my going away party on Friday. We did karaoke. It was SO much fun having like 20 of my good friends all in one place like that. I mentioned to one of my friends how I thought this guy was cute at the bar. She snuck off and told him, so I had to go over and talk to him. I wasn't even sure if he was straight! lol Totally my type. Tall, a few extra pounds, pale, with dark features. When I was talking to him (Chris), I noticed he had these large tribal forearm tats (TURN OFF)! He didn't ask me for my number or anything so yea, that didn't go anywhere (thankfully). I'm kinda proud of myself for not running and hiding in a bathroom or something like that after she did that. After karaoke, I went to an area of Chicago called the Viagra Triangle (message me if you REALLY wanna know why they call it that) and closed down another club called The Hunt Club. Met this guy named Mike and we danced the night away. He was an AMAZING dancer. He teaches Stepping (a dance style from Chicago you do to dusties). We talked about him teaching me how to step and me teaching him latin. Yea, he didn't follow through getting my number so that didn't work out :/ I wasn't wildly attracted to him but I was vibing him (weird combo, yes I know). Got home around 6 in the morning. I'm guessing both guys kinda backed off since I told them I'm moving in like 2 weeks. Oh well!

Saturday I went to a block party and another friend of mine's going away party. Nothing to really report from that.
Sunday was church and I chilled out at home and started apartment shopping.

Friday I rested up for what would be a long day on Saturday.

Saturday I got up and went to football, luckly I did not have to actually play my ankle is still not 100%. After that I rushed home took a shower and then and went and got my hair done. He went even more red this time which I love. Since I was going to a party that night I told him to do something fun. So he did some loose waves so it looked like movie star hair. I then headed to the mall across the street to spend some cash. I got pulled into the makeup kiosk in the middle of the mall and splurged on it but hey free make over.
That night a friend of mine had a "shot party" for him and about 40 of his closest friends. One of the guys was there was in or had been in bartending school and I made the mistake of telling him "oh just make me a what ever drink." I had 2 of those along with I don't know how many shots that I was just handed so no clue what was in them either. Some how some way there are pictures of me with a Bill's helmet and a top hat on. Probably the most fun of the night was laying in the middle of the huge *kitten* trampoline while about 3-4 other people jumped up and down to see how high they could get me. I try to stay out of the drama of the group so will never hook up or date one of the "core" of it but might have stepped on one of the girls toes. At the end of the night one of the guys there and I ended up on the trampoline cuddling. Both of us are friends with people there but not the inner circle. We were talking about both are on the same wavelength not to hook up with anyone there since we like it as a drama free zone but he knows one of the girls likes him. Well as we were goofing around on the trampoline she walks up and if you didn't know what was going on it could have been taken the wrong way since he was straddling me. Actually now that I think of it since it was dark if people saw us from a distance they could have thought we were really going at it. There is another party with the same group this weekend so we will see how the wind blows then.

Sunday I was thankful to the weather gods that made it rain so softball was canceled. I don't know if it was the worst hangover in history or if I got the flu along with the hangover. I am still recovering from it today.

Friday night was supposed to be a night out for a friend's birthday. I got home and felt exhausted. I literally slept 10 hours that night and missed Zumba Saturday morning... guess my body was trying to tell me something!

Saturday was fun. A friend had a luau birthday party, including leis, fire dancers, and lots of sangria. Blew it big that night but enjoyed every calorie, haha...

Sunday I met a friend for lunch. He's interviewing for a job with my company so I was helping him prep. Interesting side note, I've always kinda wondered whether he was someone I could have had something develop with. We worked closely together at my last job and always got along so well. Next thing I knew he was dating a friend of mine and got serious enough that she moved in, so I moved on from those feelings. Then she packed up and moved to Ohio for a job, disappointing him that the job was more important to her. Now they're "taking a break" to see if they really have something long distance and miss each other or not. It felt weird having lunch with him knowing my previous feelings for him, but I was good and have no intention of getting involved, especially given my friendship with her... Why are the good guys always taken?

Oh boy is it Monday!! Crappy weekend, watched my gma barely be able to push a shopping cart around a grocery store. Mind you in two weeks we were to leave for Seattle WA for a week. ETA: I have watched this woman deteriorate so much the last 6 months. She used to be a strong sturdy woman, and now she can barely function. I foresee the end coming near. It is inevitable, afterall she is 91.

Getting ready to dump the bf - I am tired of the hot n cold BS

Got my flat tired fixed and found out I need a set of 4 new tires (cant complain, haven't bought tires for this car since I have owned it)

Been feeling really rather down, and moody. After the pinched nerve, and then shingles, that really threw a wrench in my work outs, and left me feeling BLAH!

Hopped back on another dating site - talked to a very nice guy, but sadly he is in CO.

So sorry to hear about your grandma and the bf. Both stink!!!

My weekend was busy!! Had the kids, but got to see my guy Friday night....and got my up against the wall, mind melting kiss. Then Saturday was swim lessons for the kids, a birthday party in the rain, house cleaning, and laundry. Sunday was church, more laundry, my dad's and getting ready for the first day of school today. I'm exhausted!! So I am super ready for my trip to Galveston this weekend. :drinker:

That stinks too... but good on ya for taking charge of your life.

I returned home from my fabulous trip abroad to discover my electricity had been cut off (first time in my LIFE that's ever happened). Turned out, I kept paying the bill (online) to the old account, not realizing the accounts changed when I moved to my new apartment. The new account never had payment since the time I moved in.

Got that straightened out, and then went on a (fun!!) impromptu lunch date.

Mondays are always better when you take the day off, lol!

I had a 10K this weekend. My running group met for dinner Saturday night and had a good meal. The race was 7:30 on Sunday. The weather was great. I ran it 23 minutes faster than I did last year. It amazing what losing nearly 90 pounds will do.

My weekend was a mixture of good and extra crappy....

My friend didn't get to my house on Friday (ended up geeking out an playing SWTOR and had a blast)... she got there Saturday afternoon. Good... I'm glad she finally made it. Crappy ... wish we'd had more time. We'd planned on just drinking and hanging out (I pretty much only drink when I'm with her) but my daughter needed a ride to and from a movie so I had to wait on the drinking aspect... LOL. Turns out she didn't need the ride home and I could have gotten my happy on a lot earlier. Eh.. oh well!

Early Sunday morning I found out my firefighter friend is moving back home so that was a bummer. I spent Sunday morning with him helping him pack. Just bummed - heart-sinking. I guess I liked him a lot more than I realized.

Sunday afternoon I worked and then just cleaned my house and did laundry.

So... not a great weekend.. but wasn't a bust.

Lets see..well Friday went out with the girls, got dolled up and hugged some firefighters who were doing charity work promoting their 2013 calendar..but at the club not one man hit on me..And the taxi driver who was old enough to be my father pretty much fell in love..lol creepy..my friend said once I was gone he fantasized out loud to her about how great we'd be together and how is it possible a woman like me is single. Frig!

Then Sat was lazy..Sunday went Kayaking while trying to figure out why a guy I met on POF couldn't take the idea that when I told him specifically WHEN I was free that he could have coffee with me..but no he said every time I wasn't free. Frig!

Oh well dancing and the kayaking were great but men still confound me :)

Nerve is much better. Pain gone. But the tournament victory is still with us... ;-)

Yeah, he's doing quite well. Very proud of him.

And agree, Mr 10k is our weekend winner. Need to get my *kitten* in gear for next weekend.
