Weekend Warriors - Say No to Ed

Weekends destroy me. Or rather, Ed destroys me on the weekends. I can do great throughout the week and be feeling so good, yet for some reason, when Saturday rolls around, I first restrict all day....and then I binge all night. I wake up feeling awful and angry and depressed on Sunday, yet I do it again. I don't know why. I really don't.

But I DO know that we can beat this together. We need a place we can get when we're on the edge. When we wake up Saturday and are tempted to eat a simple salad with no protein - even though we worked out hard. When we sit down in the evening and hear that bag of chips calling. When we feel the need to purge those chips.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel strong when I know I have your support. When I know I can turn to any of you and say, "I'm scared. I want to eat this entire jar of peanut butter, but I know I'll hate myself afterwards, and I know I don't need it. Help me..." I know you'll understand and help me push through.

And I want to be there for you as well.

I'm suggesting we get together a group on here, and maybe even exchange a few phone numbers. But only if we're willing to be there any time of day or night for each other.

I don't know about you guys, but this is what I need on the weekends.

My husband is wonderful, but he can't understand because he's never had Ed in his life. He doesn't know what it's like to live with him.

All of you do.

Let's help each other. Let's be there for each other. No matter what.

Let's get rid of Ed together.

  • I would love to be there for you! I will be out of town this weekend on vacation, but when I get back, I am available day or night. I will message you my phone number. I am also a big texter too! :) Or facebook instant messaging. We NEED each other. All I want is for my hubby to take the chips away from me when I am in the middle of a binge...or just understand. But, we can help each other!

Thank you, so much. One thing I'm learning is that, as much as I want to, I cannot do this on my own. None of us can.
