Idea's on how to deal with the lying scales

My bathroom scales lies to me. For years I believed them. I knew my clothes were getting tighter but the scales told me my weight had not moved. My friends loved standing on them and believed them too, until the awful day, my son was weighed at the local clinic, then came home and told me our scales said something different ! He was right, my scales were 7lbs out ! I thought it bad that my weight had crept up to 13 and a half stones, only to find it was more like 14 stone ! Now I am after ideas about what to do with these lying cheating scales.
