Did any of you get named after/name your child inspired by something nerdy?

My dad named my sister Kathryn because Star Trek Voyager came out the year she was born and he was obsessed, after Cpt. Kathryn Janeway!

    What?? I always think of Logan's Run when i hear that name. Ok...you need to watch this awesomely bad movie sometime.

    My husband and I named our daughter Ezri after Ezri Dax in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. We freely share the origin when asked.

    My friend wants to believe it's because of his Ragnarok Online persona, Sammael.

    It's actually from Discworld, Sam Vimes.

    Ben - Ben Kenobi (Obi Wan Kenobi) and Benjamin Sisko (Star Trek DS9)
    My husband said '' Under no circumstances is the new baby to be called after anyone in star trek or Star Wars'' So me and my older two boys came up with Ben for the above reasons! He never guessed!

    I know someone whose daughter is named Kairi, after Kingdom Hearts. I LOVE it! If our first had been a boy we considered going with Luke, but she wasn't.

    My first name is Laurelin and my sisters is Lorien. Both from Tolkien's books. If I had been a boy I would have been Strider.

    I think I saw Logan's Run long ago. It was probably too morose for me as a teenager (I was not emo).

    I don't have any children... yet, but I've been throwing around the names 'Hero' and 'Yorrick' from the comic book, 'Y The Last Man'.

    Also, I pondered over the not-too-common name 'Clementine'. It's from the little girl off the Walking Dead video game.
