Bored of my current games, need pc game suggestions

All the highly anticipated sequels such as diablo 3, counterstrike: Global Assault and Starcraft 2 just to name a few have failed to keep me interested in them and I need suggestions for games that don't bore me to tears.

    What genres do you prefer? Also, are we limited to PC games, or do you have a console?

    The Sims 3? I've had to put it down for awhile because it's hard to just quit once you get into it.

    Same here. I just can't play for an hour here, an hour there. It's DAYS. I dont' have that kind of time. But it's fun.

    The Sims: Medieval is nice. It's still fun and addictive, but it's easier not to obsess because of how they set it up. It's more story-based and goal-oriented. Nice to play if you like The Sims but don't have weeks on end to devote to the cause.

    nah, only consoles I got are ps2 and snes :3.
