Introducing myself!

I gained a whopping 45 lbs with my last pregnancy and am now trying to get it all off! Unfortunately, only 10 of those pounds came off right after giving birth. Up until now, I haven't been able to lose much weight, so I am so excited to see the scale moving in the right direction!

I'm a sahm to 3 kids; a 4yo boy, a 3yo girl, and a 1yo boy. I've been lucky to have been able to be a sahm from the moment my first child was born. My husband doesn't go into work until later in the morning, so I am able to get up at a reasonable hour and run. That'll be changing soon though, so I'll have to re-figure things out. Back when I had 1-2 kids, I could just put them in the jogging stroller and exercise. Things change a bit when you have 3 or more kids :)

About 7 months ago, I came down with meningoencephalitis. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to figure out what type of bacteria/virus/fungi was the culprit. I was hospitalized for 3.5 weeks and feel grateful that I am still alive and that I don't have brain damage. I've spent months trying to recover and am feeling 100% now!

A few weeks ago, I started doing the c25k program along with a little bit of strength training. I want to become more regular with lifting weights though. My goal is to net 1200 calories a day with the occasional splurge. The diet and exercise has been going great and I love the way my body is feeling!
