31 August 2012...Ok joined yesterday. Today is my first day back to work since my knee (acl and Mencius repair) surgery. I'm great but my knee keeps locking up on me and makes working out a little more challenging. I have been doing PT and it's going well; new exercises are a challenge until I get use to the new adjustment.
Besides the workout challenge; I also have a sweet tooth and love for alcohol. The two things I'm certain that have been keeping my belly that hasn't had a baby inside; nice and round. I'm on a mission before my 35th birthday to be bikini ready (pinup style) and so I can hit the beach. I know I can only take it one day at a time; so here is day two.
Any suggestions would be great. However here is one of my favorite low carb reciepies
Chocolate Banana Almond Milk Protein Smoothie
A great morning smoothie with plenty of protein and taste to spare.
Ingredients
1 serving vanilla whey protein
1 serving chocolate almond milk
1 serving flaxseed oil
1 cup sliced banana
Directions
1.Peel and break banana in half, throw in blender
2.Add a scoop of vanilla (or chocolate) whey protein. I like the vanilla better, it just tastes better to me.
3.Add chocolate almond milk.
4.Add a tablespoon of flaxseed oil.
5.Add 1/2 cup crushed ice.
6.Blend until smooth. Poor into a glass and enjoy this tasty treat!
