edited December 2024 in Social Groups
A stone a month is awfully aggressive and may have de-motivated many of our former members. I found this group:

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/8071-september-december-challenge

and decided that a longer term, more sensible goal is better for me. They use a spreadsheet and log every two weeks. You set your own goals and then march towards them.

Hopefully I'll see you all over there!!

John

I liked that our group was not too too large so I have updated it for September...anyone is welcome to remain (I hope this is OK)...I have enjoyed that I can see all of the progress for you guys and that I am held accountable...

Hope to see you all in A Stone a Month but if not, good luck everyone!

I will say that my biggest complaint about the other group is the size. SOOO many people that I could spend two hours a day just reading the discussion board.

Also, they won't let me custom colorize my row of the spreadsheet

Should add that I had a look at the other group and it seemed too complicated for me......but then that might say more about me

As to recruiting more people...The way MFP displays groups is by how recently they were created. The last 5 groups to be created tend to get all the publicity. Then, after that, you can view by "most popular." So, unless someone is looking through the groups in great detail, there's no visibility on our little group.

What about each of us making it available to our friends list?
