I don't know what you are doing for cardio, but I try to mix mine up. I will row one day, use the elliptical the next, ride the stationary bike and I also swim. This keeps the boredom at bay and uses different muscles. Just a thought. Carla0

I always find September a great time to get a new routine going. My new routine has begun today. I was up at 6am and walked for half an hour on my treadmill. I've decided it's a good way to burn an extra 150 calories and get me going on the right foot every day. I will do this Mon through Fri. On Mon and Wed evenings I do a bootcamp class, and on Fri I will do a circuit training on my own at home. And on Tues and Thurs evenings and Sat mornings I will do my interval running (I'm training for a 5km on Sept. 30th). I do a combination of strength and cardio. When I do my bootcamp/circuit training, it's mostly strength, and the walking/interval training is my cardio.
I'm not a big fan of morning workouts. I run a home day care and have kids arriving at 7am. It's about all I can do to get up at 5:45am to do a 30 min walk on the treadmill, lol! I think it's awesome when people can workout first thing in the morning! It's a nice way to get it out of the way for the day. I find there are times when I am tired at the end of the day and I have to force myself on those days to go to my class or run. I also agree with taking a day or two off as well. For September I will be taking Sundays only off. But once I'm done my run, I will probably take Saturday and Sunday off.
I don't really have any advice or training ideas. It sounds like you have a good routine set up ClaireBears84!0 -

I have also upped my exercise to 60 minutes 5 times a week, but mostly because I now have two 1 hour fencing classes, plus my walks and summer is coming so I am back into ocean swimming which is so much fun I want to get up and do it before work.0
