Hi everyone. I just had my surgery done about five months ago in April 2012. I have lost 130lbs. My starting weight was 350 and now I'm at 220. I had the Gastric Bypass done. Everything has been great, I feel great. my kids are excited about their mommy's new look and found energy and motivation. I'm just afraid to one day gain all that weight back. Having already been on the other side you dont ever want to go back. Yeah I might have lost all that weight but I also lost muscle mass. I'm trying to get into the excercising mode but its hard, and I know that I have to in order to built up my muscle. How can I keep from gaining the weight back???

Just keep doing the program You have been doing something right all this time so keep it up! When I start letting bad habits creep back in a nip it in the bud now! I find using this site and logging everythign I eat keeps me honest and accountable0

Motivating yourself to exercise is hard, but my doctor told me that at a certain point, that's the only way to keep losing weight. You can't reduce your calories any more, so it's the exercise that does the trick. He said to make sure you do different thiings so your body won't just get used to one exercise and maintain at that level. Vivien0

I will be getting the lap band on October 19th. I was told that once I get the go ahead I should get right back into my exercise routine in order to lose steadily and to keep exercising after I have reached my goal weight.
Just take one step at a time. It takes 21 days to create a habit so if you can at least walk for 15 minutes every day that will get you started. Do you have a buddy or a dog to walk with you?
Let us know how you make out.0
