This is a pretty good movie....even better that I had read the true story behind it.....it is basically a Jewish Version of The Exorcist....very well done.....
I read the story behind the box in Entertainment Weekly magazine, and knowning that story, made this one very interesting....anyway, I can't seem to find it online, although I am sure it is there somewhere. The long and short of it, was that a Jewish girl was trying to call upon an angel to help against the Nazi's and instead she got a demon, so she trapped it in the box, and when she died, years later at her estate sale, someone bought the box, and bad things started happening. Convinced that it was not the box, a friend of his took it, and bad things started to happen there too. Now the box is buried in a secret location.
The other thing I found interesting about this movie, is that Jewish Reggae star Matisyahu plays a rabbi in the movie.....was interesting to see a different side of him.....he is a great singer, and I guess actor now too....
