From “Aww, that’s so cute” to “ARG! that’s SO Annoying!!”

Went on a day trip with Mr. BeardBurn and, while at a gas station, I couldn’t make up my mind what to drink. I was tired of water, and if I was actually gonna ingest calories, I wanted to make each one count. They didn’t have anything I wanted and as I walked back and forth looking at what was available, he laughed. I asked “whaaaaat?” He replied, “That’s cute.” I didn’t get it. “What’s cute?” His answer? “You can’t make a decision.” I said, “It won’t be cute 10 months from now when we’re in a hurry and you wanna get going.” I grabbed a vanilla coke (YUM!) and we left.

But it got me thinking… how often do we find a quirk as cute or endearing only to be upset/frustrated with that trait later?

When I was fifteen and I had my first boyfriend... we would talk on the phone and whenever I had to hang up he would say "Wait wait just to be sure..." and reiterate a bunch of plans we had and talk even more. It wasn't uncommon that just trying to hang up would take ten or fifteen minutes because of this habit. At first (being fifteen) I thought it was cute, awww he likes me sooooo much!

After about three months I would just hang up on him because I HAVE **** TO DO BRO!
