Just thought I would pop up this link, for those who like walking and maybe intersted in searching out different walks in their area

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/activities/walking/walking-festival/

I had a look for near me, and there seems some interesting ones.

Thanks for this, I've done most of the walks nearest me but it reminded me how nice some of them are and I'll have to go again!

Here's one for anyone near A3, like SlugK & me

Free open day at RHS Wisley, on 5th October, for those who have never been, take advantage, just south of M25 on A3

Acres to walk round, some hilly [Surrey hills], loads to see, free parking, and, whisper it, food is not bad

see you there? I'm the fat old bloke with a beard

Ooh, I've just discovered I can get a bus straight to Wisley. Unfortunately, the 5th is a Friday, so don't think I can go that day. But at least I know I can get to Wisley easily!

None in Leicestershire either and I'm not driving at the moment so can't get to any of the ones in the surrounding counties
