Good morning to all who are joining me in this journey. Thank you. I can't wait to meet you.
I am so new to My Fitness Pal that I am still learning how to use it. I will figure out how to do the weekly weigh-ins. If anyone already knows, please clue me in. Rather than spend time figuring it all out ahead of time, I just jumped in and formed a group. My personal success will be greatly enhanced through friendships and common goals. No time like the present to get started.
What I do know is that having buddies is the way to go. My hope is that we can form a cohesive group to encourage and support each other in this journey to improved health and fitness and make some new friends in the process. We can share successes and recipes and be the voice on the other end of the phone in a weak moment. Isolation can increase the odds of failure and we want no part of failure.
We can do this.
The locality of the members will make it easy to get together as a group. I would love to go walking.hiking in the beautiful fall weather. Any takers?

Hi there Lola612. I am Maniaa responding to your request to become a myfitnesspal friend. I would love to be apart of the team and I'm definitely a "taker" to be apart in any of the activities you mention God willing I'm able to.
I am also new to myfitnesspal, and I just love it! It's free!0 -
Free is definitely a plus. I know from experience that all the information you need to lose weight and get healthy is free online. I am a lifetime member of WW, but I can't afford the meeting fees. That's why I chose to create my own group.0

Wow! I am not a lifetime member with WW but I'm a member and because of the fees I decided to go the same route! What a coincidence....... I find that with myfitnesspal, as long as you stay committed EVERYDAY to log in and enter what you put in your mouth, I believe we can achieve success with support. I had lost 75lbs and without getting into a long story, I put on 30 of those pounds back on. I was 228lbs and being dedicated with WW for a year, I reached 154lbs. I have had a weight issue all of my life. I am 58 years old and have a beautiful family and 3 grandchildren (my daughter just had a beautiful baby boy yesterday!). So with that being said, I can't go backwards.....I won't go backwards....I worked too darn hard to get that weight off. I'm not giving up!0

I am near Nantasket Beach if you'd like to walk there.0

Congratulations on your new grandson. I have a son myself and I adore him. My weight issues have been a whole life process, too. I became a lifetime menber of WW at 19 years old. I feel like I have been dieting my entire life. It is so easy some days and so incredibly difficult other days. It's one day at a time.0

HI Joyce. How wonderful for you to live near the beach. I would love to walk. When are you available?0
