I need a new pair of running shorts, but can't seem to find shorts with pockets. Any suggestions?

Good luck. My husband finally found a pair with pockets so now he is the kangaroo for the two of us. Poor guy. :0

I found some athletic style shorts at the Reebok outlet with pockets. I'm not sure I'd want to run in them though, they're heavier and a bit longer than a pair of running shorts and somehow the idea of running with anything in pockets is unappealing.
If you're looking for the ability to carry keys, cell phone etc check out fuel belts, you can carry water and most of them have pouches for storing small items. For most of my runs I don't carry anything, one of the reasons I installed a keyless entry system in my house.0 -
My husband likes Nike dri-fit shorts - from the outlet. built in under-roos and zipper pocket in the back (key and Gu) and side pocket on the inside (room for another Gu.) He swears by them.....0

Definitely check out the Race Ready ones. They have lots of pockets.0

Am I weird for not wanting shorts with a liner? I prefer to wear my UA compression shorts underneath, then shorts on top just because they have pockets.
I actually wear my Air Force PT shorts now almost exclusively. They have a couple of small, relatively secure pockets and most importantly I didn't have to buy them. :P I always thought those things were garbage, too, but now that I've cut out the liner and started using them solely for running, they're pretty decent. I'd like a zipper pocket in the back, but I don't know that it's worth buying multiple pairs at $30+ each just for that.0 -
shorts with good pockets are hard to find. I do not like race ready. I found a brooks infinity II that has good pockets but I can't wear them for long without chafing (I don't normally chafe). Last marathon I honestly just put my food in my bra (in a baggy). Worked just fine.0
