I'm a born again MFP'er and trying to make it stick this go around, so I decided that the greatest way to keep this up might be to join a group!
Currently in my life I'm struggling with social/general anxiety and depression. In the past few months i've gone through a lot; I quit my job because the anxiety/depression made it difficult to work, and lost my health insurance (surprise, surprise). So now i'm working on finding a new job while also trying to do as much as I can for myself to try and stay healthy.
The amazing care management nurse I had at Group Health gave me a lot of great advice - the most important of which was "keep moving!" (and quite possibly "eat your vegetables" *yuck* xP). She always stressed that one of the best things I could do for myself was walk, even if just for 10 minutes, every day. Set yourself goals, walk your dog, walk your boyfriend - do what you need to do, but just keep moving!
So here I am, trying to keep my promise to keep moving![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
(... plus, I'm sure there isn't much better medicine out there for depression than to look in the mirror and see a skinnier you ;D)
